Position Details:
The Chief Operating Officer has a critical role in overseeing the daily management of HR, Coordination, and Nursing operations. This includes integrating all divisions of the company, to ensure a cohesive approach to providing excellent patient care. The COO must also ensure that all teams are working efficiently and effectively to meet patients’ needs. Another crucial aspect of the COO's role is to ensure that operations are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals. This involves working closely with other executives to develop and implement strategies for growth, as well as monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Overall, the COO plays a vital role in ensuring that operations deliver high-quality patient care while also supporting the company's strategic objectives.
Specific Responsibilities:
Managing day-to-day
- Oversee performance metrics for all departments creating alignment for growth.
- Presents bi-weekly performance reports and metrics to the CFO and owners.
- Set department and individual leadership goals based on company objectives and communicate effectively to staff.
- Create objective and measurable criteria that will be used to gauge the results of individual leadership and staff's actions.
- Take ultimate authority to ensure that all personnel are competent to provide the quality care services required by the company: accomplished by proper hiring, training, evaluation, and leadership.
- Oversee the development and implementation of processes that enhance profitability and efficiency.
- Demonstrate sound, fiscally prudent judgment when making business decisions.
- Be adept at investigating problems, identifying the underlying causes, and formulating solutions.
Implementing Strategies
- Work with owners and CFO to ideate and execute on growth strategies designed to differentiate services and care
- Hire experienced and competent personnel to aide in fleshing out strategies and executing on an ongoing basis
- Create new and innovative process to provide innovative care at scale
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ Years in a Home Healthcare Executive Role
· 2+ Years as COO, Administrator, or VP of operations of a multi-location home healthcare company
· Technical competency, ability to figure out new tech and software and make recommendations on how the company should move forward.
· Desire to innovate in healthcare space
· Strong body of knowledge in the skills of management and leadership.
· Strong understanding of healthcare from intake to billing.
· Be able to work on multiple tasks and plan and prioritize activities to achieve results and meet deadlines.
· Be a self-starter and manifest a proactive approach to all aspects of responsibility.
· Make decisions well and quickly, follow through, communicating well to others about the decision.
· Consistently demonstrate ability to establish and manage priorities.
· Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills with the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment.
Education: Graduated with an accredited college degree
